My Apprenticeship Journey: Current student

Current Apprentice Grace, tells us why an Apprenticeship was right for her

“Going to university has given me opportunities to achieve in ways which I didn’t even realise were possible, especially in the face of personal adversities. For years, I have never felt quite ‘good enough’ but going to university has been a journey of personal growth and has set me on a path which has changed my life in the best ways posible. Not only do I now feel a sense of belonging in my career which I am passionate about, it has enabled me to learn things about myself and taught me lessions which will follow me throughout my life; resilience, strength and self-belief.

For the first time in a long time, attending university has enabled me to feel proud of myself and silenced the thoughts of ‘I’m not good enough’ – it has given me self-confidence nd has provided me with a new beginning.

Most important of all, being part of a learning community has given me the privilege of meeting people who inspire me, support me and will be life-long friends (if they’ll have me!).”
